Your Ears in Safe Hands
Whether you're dealing with persistent ear wax buildup, experiencing discomfort, or failed a hearing aid fitment, we can help
Somerset Ear Care provide a customer focussed service that is caring as well as effective. Our private clinic in Somerton offers short waiting times, comfortable facilities and plenty of parking. We also provide a mobile service for housebound individuals in Somerton and surrounding areas. We are fully insured and regulated by the Care Quality Commision to the same exacting standards as Hospitals and GP Surgeries. Our ear wax microsuction appointments typically last less than 30 minutes.
The service is run and delivered by Christina Fulcher, a registered nurse with 30 years experience and a resident of Somerton. She provides ear wax removal services to GP surgeries across Somerset and is a Practice Nurse at Queen Camel Medical Centre. Her considerable experience means she will identify medical issues and refer patients to a GP when necessary.
Microsuction is a modern, quick, gentle and clean method of ear wax removal. It uses a tiny vacuum probe, that's safer, more effective and applicable to more cases than ear syringing or ear irrigation. NICE no longer support the practice of ear syringing.
Microsuction is carried out with visual monitoring at all times. Somerset Ear Care use high performance hospital-grade 3D optical equipment, never 2D endoscopic mobile phone attachments, ensuring the best and safest outcome for our clients
